MISHA

Misha is Kansas City’s own diamond in the spotlight. A native Texan with a background deeply rooted in Gospel, Jazz, and Blues, Misha was groomed on the sounds of Anita Baker, Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey to cultivate her own unique soulful sound.


As a child, a house full of musicians made it easy to develop her keen ear for harmony which led to her perfect pitch skills. Misha got involved in performing at the tender age of eight as a member and lead vocalist of an all-girls group called 2 X 2. At the tender age of 11, Misha developed her own renditions of the classic blues tunes such as, Muddy Water Blues by Bobby Blu Bland. Showcasing a talent that surpassed her young age, sparked Misha’s desire for the big stage.


In 2013 Misha made the leap of faith to pursue music full time. Stepping out of her comfort zone, she soon began to take her musical talents to the next level. Her work as a full-time well-known musician in Kansas City area has boosted her to local celebrity status. Her powerful captivating vocals continue to

garner fans and supporters to her shows and ventures.


Misha's current collaborations include fronting the corporate party band Funk Syndicate for weddings and events. She also is one of three female singers leading the band The Freedom Affair performing all original music to include the single “Rise Up”. “Rise Up” was featured on the soundtrack of the Madame CJ Walker Netflix series "Self Made". Misha recently traveled to Washington D.C. to work with producers EC3 and Tyrone Jackson to record her first full length album due to come out Fall 2020.
